BackgroundI have a M.Sc in Media Technology and Engineering from Linköping University, 2010. My thesis work was carried out as an internship at the SFX company Tippett Studio in Berkely, CA, USA, and treated High-resolution Simulation and Rendering of Gaseous Phenomena from Low-resolution Data. Prior to my Ph.D. studies I worked as a research engineer on material characteristics and capturing for computer graphics.
Research InterestsThe main focus of my Ph.D. is within display and distribution of HDR-video. The last years I have worked with survey and evaluation of state-of-the-art within tone mapping, development of new video tone mapping techniques, and with implementation of the Luma HDRv open source solution for encoding of HDR-videos.
Previous and Ongoing Projects
- Luma HDRv - open source HDR video encoding software (lumahdrv.org)
- Real-time noise-aware tone mapping (project page)
- Evaluation of tone mapping operators for HDR video (project page)
